Danish-Indonesian Environmental Support Programme
Environmental Management, SEA, Green Technology, Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Green Growth & Climate Change.
These are some of the keywords that characterise the Danish-Indonesian Environmental Support Programme - ESP3.
ESP3 runs from 2013-18 with a total budget of 270M Danish kroner (~50M$US or 600B Rp) as a grant from the Danish Government implemented under the Danish Embassy in Indonesia. Through close cooperation with key central government agencies who have the potential to change "business as usual", ESP3 seeks to facilitate a gradual transformation towards a green economy. An economy which contributes to minimising Climate Change and prepares the country for coping with consequences of global warming.
Cooperation in three sectors
ESP3 is coordinated by Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) and implemented jointly by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. The Program also includes support to four individual forest and climate projects implemented by Burung Indonesia, The World Agroforestry Centre, and The World Bank.
